Lukoil and Gazprom Discover Large Field In Russia's Sector of the Caspian
A major oil-and-gas-condensate field has been discovered at Tsentralnaya structure in the Caspian by OOO TsentrKaspneftegas. The oil-bearing structure where the discovery occurred is situated in the central part of the middle Caspian on the border between Russia and Kazakhstan within Russia’s sector of the sea 150 kilometers to the East of the city of Makhach-Kala.  More...

Dana Gas and Emarat announce completion of Hamriyah Gas Pipeline Project
Dana Gas and Emarat announced the completion and inauguration of the Middle East’s first common user gas pipeline, located in the emirate of Sharjah. Dana Gas and Emarat, along with the three end-users the Federal Electricity and Water Authority of the UAE, the Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, and Dana Gas affiliate Crescent Natural Gas Company Limited – signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation and utilization of the pipeline in January 2006.  More...

Lundin Kenya announced that it has executed an agreement with CNOOC Africa to acquire an interest in Block 9, Kenya. Lundin Petroleum will acquire, subject to approval by the Kenyan Ministry of Energy, a 30 percent participating interest in the CNOOC Africa-operated Block 9, which is adjacent to the Lundin Petroleum-operated Block 10a in the Anza Basin of northwest Kenya.  More...
