Hallin wins US $10 million contract Offshore Mumbai
Hallin Marine awarded a US$10 million contract to supply saturation diving support for the Pipeline Replacement Project offshore Mumbai, India. Hallin will provide two of its saturation diving systems and diving personnel for subsea construction work activities, deploying its equipment, consumables and skilled diving personnel on board client designated vessels for the Pipelines Replacement Project (PRP2).  More... 		 

Reliance Industries Commences Production in KG-D6 Block
Reliance Industries Limited commenced production of hydrocarbons in its KG-D6 block of Krishna Godavari Basin with the production of crude oil on 17th September 2008. The field is initially producing about 5,000 barrels of crude per day and is expected to reach its peak hydrocarbon production of 5,50,000 BOEPD over the next six to eight quarters.  More... 		 

Punj Lloyd secures USD 800 million prestigious contract in Qatar
Punj Lloyd awarded the Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning of Strategic Gas Transmission Project, worth USD 800 million (Rs 3636 crores), from Qatar Petroleum. The project includes laying of 211 km of pipeline with associated stations and infrastructure.   More... 		 

Iraq and Shell sign agreement on south Iraq gas
The Ministry of Oil of the Republic of Iraq and a wholly owned affiliate of Royal Dutch Shell signed a Heads of Agreement that sets the commercial principles to establish an incorporated joint venture between the South Gas Company and Shell for the processing and marketing of all associated natural gas produced in the Governorate of Basra in southern Iraq, an area covering some 19,000 square kilometres.  More...

GDF SUEZ acquires from Hellenic Petroleum first exploration and production stake in Libya
GDF SUEZ acquired from Hellenic Petroleum S.A., a 20% participating interest in an exploration and production license in Libya, thus partnering alongside with Woodside and Repsol. The transaction has been approved by the National Oil Corporation and remains to be ratified by the Libyan Parliament, the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.  More... 		 

Samsung Heavy Industries to win World’s first LNG FPSO order, valued at US$1 Billion
Samsung Heavy Industries awarded a turnkey contract to UK-Based FLEX LNG to build the world’s first LNG-FPSO. LNG-FPSO, a high-valued added complex vessel, will cost over US$1 billion to construct, including a US$ 551 million LNG-FPSO Top-side plant order this day. SHI already won a US$ 459 million order for supply of a LNG-FPSO hull last April.  More...
