The Linde Group enters into joint venture with SINOPEC subsidiary in China
The Linde Group entered into a joint venture with SINOPEC Fujian Petrochemical Company Limited (FPCL), a subsidiary of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC), for the long-term supply of industrial gases to customers in the province of Fujian in south-eastern China. Rocksource to partner with ONGC in extensive exploration acreage offshore India
Rocksource signed an agreement with the Indian state oil company ONGC to farm into 10% of the exploration block CY-DWN-2001/1 located in the Cauvery Basin, offshore south eastern India. The block covers an area of 12,425 km2, which is equivalent in area to approximately 30 exploration blocks on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.  More...
 

DNO Announces Certain Amendments To Its PSC Contracts In The Kurdistan Region of Iraq
The Tawke PSC contract area has now been extended to include an area to the west of The Tawke Field including the West Dohuk Structure, increasing DNO's working interest in this structure by 15 % to 55 %. In return for this extension of the Tawke PSC contract area DNO will pre-relinquish most of the Dohuk area, except for the Summail Prospect and the Summail Extension area in the southern part of the current Dohuk contract area.   More...
 

Tethys Oil: Jas-2 Well Test Suspended
The testing of the Jebel Aswad 2 well (JAS-2) on Block 15 onshore Oman has been suspended. The well was completed on August 18, 2008 after drilling some 4,018 metres, including a near kilometre long horizontal section. Hydrocarbon shows and Logging While Drilling (LWD) indications were good throughout the entire horizontal section.  More...

Technip Awarded Two New Frame Agreements By BP For Subsea Oilfield Developments in Angola
Technip and its subsidiary Angoflex Ltda. (owned jointly with Sonangol) have been awarded two new major frame agreements by BP Exploration (Angola) Ltd. for oilfield developments in Angola, covering: engineering, procurement and manufacture of flexible pipe, engineering, procurement and manufacture of umbilicals and associated equipment.  More...
