MOL has more than 70 year E&P experience in the maturing Pannonian basin. Ageing behaviour of oil and gas fields operated by the company, initiated the early introduction of EOR/IOR/EGR technologies for recovery improvement tasks. Since 1969, CO2 injection has been widely applied in sandstones and carbonate reservoirs and the geological complexity of particular fields was challenge for the multidisciplinary teams. HC gas injection also was a hot area of investigation but the application of this technology has been highly impacted by the developed gas infrastructure of the region. 6 case studies from the MOL’s operational practice will be highlighted on the area of:
